Performance Coaching

Rae Ellen works as a Performance Coach with top business professionals who recognize that their success in performance as public speakers hinges on their ability to effectively communicate content in a meaningful way that will move their audiences to action.  She brings twenty years of experience as a Voice/Acting Coach, actor and theatre Director to individuals who perhaps have never set foot on a stage or in front of a camera, but who benefit greatly from the extraordinary skill-set that Rae Ellen brings to the arena of public speaking/performance.

Rae Ellen has worked as a Performance Coach for The Institute 4 Change (i4c), a US organization established to help support, train and develop extraordinary leaders and organizations in order to enable them to advance their social, economic and political values and goals. During her time with i4c, Rae Ellen coached clients in the areas of performance, voice production, speech/text preparation and dialect reduction.  Clients included: Yvonne Walker (President of SEIU Local 1000, a local that has 98,000 members and is the most important public sector union in California) and her team – Margarita Maldonado (Vice President for Bargaining); Tamekia N. Robinson (Vice President for Organizing/Representation) and M. Cora Okumura (Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer).  She also led workshops for the i4c at their leadership retreat in San Jose, California, where she coached Linda Neff (Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin); Michael Tate (Chairman, Democratic Party of Wisconsin) and Linda Honold (Director, Wisconsin Democracy Alliance).

Closer to home, Rae Ellen has worked with some impressive Toronto business professionals, including: Mel Thompson, Vice President Xerox Canada (retired); Marysia Czarski, Principal – Facilitative Consultant and Executive Coach, “Velocity Partnership” and Dr. Kasra Khourasani, Psychiatrist – Head of Inpatient Psychotherapy Group Program, St. Michael’s Hospital and Vice President of Canadian Group Therapy Association, Toronto.

All of these leaders have coached with Rae Ellen in group settings or privately, and her skills, professionalism and approach to guiding them toward effective, transformative performance have impacted all of them in positive, lasting ways.

“When the leaders of SEIU Local 1000 wanted to learn how to motivate and inspire their leaders and members, we called on Rae Ellen.  She had an amazing ability to understand what we needed, and was able to connect on a personal level with our clients, who weren’t really sure what this Performance Coaching business was all about.  The result was stunningly successful, resulting in great performances by leaders and huge gains by the organization.”  (Ken Smith – Organizational Change Consultant, SEIU Local 1000)
